Secretary General
Priyanshi Bora
Grade 8
Dear honorable directors, chairs, guests, and delegates,
I am Priyanshi Bora, an 8th-grade United Nations International School student and one of the Secretary generals for the MS MUN March conference 2025. This will be my third year of MUN participation and the sixth conference. I am honored to serve as the Conference leader in my final year of middle school.
The UNISMUN March 2025 Conference presents the theme “How can we strengthen peaceful cooperation in the context of global innovation?” an important topic for debate. We chose this theme because innovation greatly affects people's lives today. It can help improve living standards, but without it, inequalities can grow, leaving many people behind. This shows how important it is for LEDCs and MEDCs to work together and share resources and innovation.
As the Secretary General for the upcoming March 2025 conference, I will work with the leadership team to plan, organize, and execute the event, making sure to have effective communication among everyone. Together, I look forward to making this conference an inspiring and memorable experience for everyone involved.
Having said that, I welcome all participants to the 2025 MARCH Conference. Here’s to a successful and engaging event!
Secretary General
Julian Danailov-Benguernane
Grade 8
Esteemed delegates, directors, chairs, and guests,
My name is Julian Danailov-Benguernane, and I am honored to serve as one of the Secretary Generals for the 2025 UNISMUN March Conference. As a student at the United Nations International School of Hanoi and an active MUN participant over the past three years, I see this conference not just as an event, but as a way to push ideas forward and challenge the assumptions we take for granted.
Our theme this year, “How can we strengthen peaceful cooperation in the context of global innovation?”,is timely and necessary. Innovation is rapidly transforming the way nations operate, communicate, and compete. But without intentional cooperation, these advancements can deepen divisions instead of bridging them. The question is not whether we will innovate, but whether we can do so in a way that is inclusive, responsible, and peace-oriented.
As Secretary General, I am committed to creating a space where delegates are not just speaking but listening. Where ideas are debated critically and where diplomacy is more than a formality. Throughout this conference, you will be asked to evaluate complex dynamics between states, companies, and civil societies. You’ll need to weigh the benefits of innovation against the risks of exclusion, and the promise of progress against the potential for imbalance.
I encourage each of you to approach this conference not simply as a simulation, but as a rehearsal for real-world leadership. This is your chance to refine your voice, test your ideas, and learn from others with diverse perspectives.
Thank you for being part of this experience. I look forward to seeing how you each shape the conversation, and how we, together, shape the future.
Warm regards,
Julian Danailov-Benguernane
