Mr. Michael Aastrup Jensen, chairman
The Liberal Party (“Venstre”)
Born in 1976. Member of the Danish Parliament since 2005 and former Mayor in Randers Municipality from 2002-2006. He has an educational background in economics and sales. In 2024, he obtained a master of business administration from Middlesex University and completed a board leadership programme from Niels Brock Executive. On top of being chairman for the Foreign Policy Committee, Mr. Jensen has been spokesman on development cooperation since 2022.

Mr. Flemming Møller Mortensen, committee member
The Social Democratic Party (“Socialdemokratiet”)
Born in 1963. Member of the Danish Parliament since 2007 and former Minister for Development and Nordic Cooperation from 2020-2022. He has an educational background in nursing with specialist training as an anaesthetist nurse. He has been spokesman on Greenland since 2022 as well as on foreign affairs and development cooperation from 2024. He is also chairman of The Committee on the Danish Council of Ethics.

Ms. Ida Auken, committee member
The Social Democratic Party (“Socialdemokratiet”)
Born in 1978. Member of the Danish Parliament since 2007 and former Minister for the Environment from 2011-2014. She has an educational background in theology. In 2024, she completed an executive education on AI and sustainability from Nanjiang Technical University, Singapore. She has been spokeswoman on matters pertaining to the City of Copenhagen from 2021, on agriculture since 2022 and green transition from 2024.

Mr. Mogens Jensen, committee member
The Social Democratic Party (“Socialdemokratiet”)
Born in 1963. Member of the Danish Parliament since 2005 and vice- chairman of the Social Democratic Party since 2012. Former Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation from 2014-2015 and former Minister for Food, Fisheries and Equal Opportunities and former Minister for Nordic Cooperation from 2019-2020. He has an educational background in trade union management. He has been spokesman on cultural affairs, media and sports from 2022. Furthermore, he is chairman of The Danish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Mr. Peter Skaarup, committee member
The Denmark Democrats (“Danmarksdemokraterne”)
Born in 1964. Member of the Danish Parliament since 1998 (many years as member of the Danish People’s Party) and vice-chairman of the Denmark Democrats since 2023. He completed secondary school from Aarhus Cathedral Upper Secondary School. He has been spokesman on immigration and integration from 2022. During his time at the Danish People’s Party, he held the position as justice spokesman for many years, among other roles.

Mr. Søren Søndergaard, committee member
The Red-Green Alliance (“Enhedslisten”)
Born in 1955. Member of the Danish Parliament from 1994-2005 and again from 2015. He has an educational background in metal work. He is spokesman on the EU, cultural affairs, defence, media, emergency preparedness and immigration. He serves as chairman of The Board of the Danish Inter-Parliamentary Group and vice-chairman of The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Sambandsflokkurin (The Faroe Islands)
Born in 1996. Member of the Folketing (Parliament) in The Faroe Islands from 2022. She has an educational background in political science. She has been vice-chairwoman of the Arctic Delegation since 2024 and chairwoman of the Faroe Islands Committee since 2023.
